According to Shmyhal, the needs of housing and communal services for cogeneration units are met by more than half. He also mentioned that the demand for 239 modular boiler houses has been fulfilled, during a Cabinet meeting.
The Prime Minister noted that the efforts to attract and install this and other equipment are ongoing in real-time.
"We are focusing on nine frontline and border regions. Their needs are our top priority," Shmyhal stated. "Cities that rely on large thermal power stations are particularly vulnerable. It is these TPPs and CHPs that Russia has deliberately targeted, destroying or damaging nearly 90% of Ukraine's thermal energy generation."
The government's goal is to provide these communities with alternative sources of heat and electricity supply, the Prime Minister of Ukraine concluded.
