The President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine has not received half of the weapons that were officially allocated by the United States.
He mentioned this in an interview with Ukrainian Radio.
“Look, this money still needs to be delivered. If you were to ask me how much we have received from this, I wouldn’t go into details, because there are various reports from different institutions, both the Ministry of Defense and intelligence agencies. I would just say: we have not received half,” Zelensky stated.
He clarified that he was specifically referring to weapons.
“When I talk about half, I mean less; I am talking about weapons. I negotiated for weapons. Of course, there is humanitarian aid, financial aid, directed financial assistance to the budget, and separate humanitarian programs aimed at the regions,” the president explained.
He also emphasized that European assistance for the Ukrainian army has been no less significant.
It should be noted that Pentagon spokesman Major General Pat Ryder reported that after the US Congress approved additional funding in April, the US sent Ukraine 83% of the promised ammunition, 67% of the promised air defense resources, and 60% of firepower capabilities.
Additionally, it has been revealed that the Pentagon will transfer $7.1 billion in aid to Ukraine by the end of Biden's term.
