On Tuesday, February 4, President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council. Participants received reports concerning the "financial integrity" within the country.
He shared this information during his evening address to the nation.
Zelensky noted that there have been recent changes in the leadership of the tax service and financial monitoring agency.
“We are already seeing initial results. The outcomes regarding shadow financial schemes have finally been halted. This applies to oligarchs, officials, deputies, and those who have used or are using various funds to effectively conceal assets. Billions of hryvnias,” he stated.
The President added that relevant materials have already been obtained by law enforcement agencies. According to him, investigations must be impartial, “regardless of who violates the law.”
“A decision on sanctions has been adopted by the NSDC. The lists will be available soon. There will be several stringent packages,” Zelensky concluded.
Recall that on January 19, it was reported that Zelensky imposed sanctions against a number of pro-Russian propagandists and traitors.
Additionally, in October, the president enforced NSDC sanctions against three individuals and around 20 companies.
