Zelensky proposed establishing a food hub in Lebanon.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, held discussions with the new President of Lebanon, Joseph Aoun. The parties specifically talked about the establishment of a food hub in Lebanon.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the head of the Ukrainian state on Telegram.

Zelensky mentioned that he congratulated his colleague on his election and wished safety for Lebanon and the entire Middle East.

According to the president, he thanked Lebanon for its support of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

"Despite Russian aggression, Ukraine remains a reliable guarantor of global food security. I proposed to create a food hub in Lebanon to assist the country's population," the head of the Ukrainian state clarified.

He also shared that he discussed with Aoun the enhancement of bilateral cooperation, including in the trade and economic sector.

Grain Supplies to Syria

Recall that it was previously reported that Ukraine has begun sending food supplies to Syria after the regime of Bashar al-Assad was overthrown there.

At the same time, the head of state discussed the possibility of financial support for such supplies to Syria from Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
