The military-political leadership of Ukraine is already working on strengthening the air defense system.
This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky in his evening address to the nation.
He mentioned that Defense Minister Rustem Umerov is holding meetings with partners regarding the supply of new air defense systems. These systems are intended to "protect lives from new risks."
Zelensky also urged the world to give a clear response to attempts by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to escalate the war.
"When someone starts using other countries not just for terrorism but also to test their new missiles through terror, this is definitely an international crime. And from Russia, this is mockery from the standpoint of such states as China, countries of the Global South, and some leaders, who repeatedly call for restraint, only to receive yet another escalation from Moscow in return," the head of state stated.
Recall that on the night of November 21, Russia attacked Dnipro with a new medium-range missile "Oreshnik". After that, media reports indicated that Ukraine and the USA were negotiating the supply of weapons capable of intercepting intercontinental ballistic missiles.
It is also known that a air defense headquarters was recently established in Kyiv. In the future, such agencies are planned to be created in two more regions.
