President Volodymyr Zelensky responded to the comments made by American leader Donald Trump regarding the possibility of the U.S. continuing its assistance to Ukraine in exchange for Ukrainian rare earth metals.
Zelensky's statement is quoted by RBK-Ukraine.

According to him, Ukraine is open to developing mineral resources alongside its allies.
“We are open to the idea that all of this can be developed with our partners, who help us defend our land and push the enemy back with their weapons, their presence, and sanctions packages. And that is completely fair,” Zelensky believes.
The president also clarified that he had already discussed this issue during a meeting with President Trump in September of last year.
“We are open to welcoming investments from American companies – and we do so gladly. Why? Because if this sector is controlled by Russia, other countries and companies will enter,” he added.
It is worth noting that the joint development of rare earth metal deposits is part of Volodymyr Zelensky's "victory plan", presented to the elected president of the United States in the fall of 2024.
Earlier, the U.S. president stated that his administration has already scheduled meetings and negotiations with Ukraine, Russia, and other parties regarding the war.
