Президент Украины и глава Молдовы заявили о вине рф, так как умышленное прекращение россией поставок газа в Приднестровский регион и повлекло за собой гуманитарный кризис.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, and the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, issued a joint statement following talks in Kyiv, condemning the cessation of Russian gas supplies to Transnistria.

This was reported by the press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine on Saturday, January 25.

The unrecognized Transnistria has agreed to receive gas from MoldovaThe authorities of the self-proclaimed Transnistria have accepted Moldova's proposal to obtain natural gas through the state company Moldovagaz.

“We strongly condemn the deliberate cessation of gas supplies to the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova by the Russian Federation, which has led to a humanitarian crisis,” the statement reads.

In their statement, Zelensky and Sandu reaffirmed their commitment and ability to provide urgent and specific solutions to meet the energy needs of the residents of the Transnistrian region, to prevent further escalation of the crisis, and to restore basic services.

Moreover, the parties confirmed their mutual determination to strengthen practical cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova in all areas of mutual interest.

“This commitment encompasses strengthening economic ties, promoting cultural exchanges, and cooperating in overcoming common security challenges,” the Office of the President of Ukraine stated.

As is known, after the cessation of Russian gas supplies to Moldova, the unrecognized Transnistria was left without heating and hot water. The lack of electricity also led to power outages. Industrial enterprises came to a halt.

It is worth noting that starting January 1, “Gazprom” stopped supplies to Moldova and Transnistria allegedly due to multiple non-payments by the energy company “Moldovagaz” for the Russian gas supplied to it, as well as due to the cessation of gas transit from the Russian Federation through Ukraine.

President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the cessation of Russian gas transit is one of the biggest defeats for the Kremlin, while Ukraine is ready to assist Moldova with coal.

On January 15, the Russian Federation announced that they are ready to supply “humanitarian” gas to the unrecognized Transnistria. Later, it became known that Transnistria agreed to receive gas from Moldova.
