North Korean military personnel are purchasing fake medical certificates to avoid deployment to Russia for the war against the Ukrainian army.
This information comes from Newsweek.

According to journalists, North Korean families are paying more than 100 times the average monthly salary for a forged tuberculosis diagnosis.
Over the course of a year, the cost of bribing hospital officials to issue such a certificate has increased fivefold—from 100 to about 500 US dollars. This is a substantial amount, considering that the average monthly salary for a government employee in North Korea ranges from 5,000 to 10,000 won (1-3 dollars).
“There is a hidden fear that if their sons go to the army and are sent to Russia, the parents will never see them alive again,” said a woman from the Ryanggang province on condition of anonymity.
It is claimed that North Korean authorities secretly issue death certificates to the families of soldiers who died in Russia, stating that their loved ones died during “sacred combat training in honor of the homeland,” without revealing the actual circumstances of their deaths.
Many North Koreans do not understand why they are fighting Ukraine instead of the USA—the country they were taught from childhood to regard as their main enemy.
“Who is our enemy? Why do we have a new enemy? This confrontational view of Americans that the authorities tried to instill in the people is now in question,” said another resident of Ryanggang province.
Recall that this week Western media reported that North Korean troops were withdrawn from the front line in Kursk after sustaining heavy losses. The Special Operations Forces today confirmed that there has been no presence of North Korean troops in certain directions for almost three weeks.
Media also claimed that North Korea intends to send new military units to Russia as reinforcements for the contingent involved in the Kursk region.
