The United Kingdom has recently supplied Ukraine with a new batch of long-range cruise missiles Storm Shadow even before London decided to lift restrictions on the Armed Forces of Ukraine regarding the use of this weaponry.
This was reported by the agency Bloomberg.
It is noted that Storm Shadow missiles were sent to Kyiv prior to the recent decision by the United States and the United Kingdom to allow Ukraine to launch long-range missiles at targets within Russian territory.
According to sources familiar with the matter, the transfer involves "dozens of Storm Shadow cruise missiles" to the Ukrainian side.
However, the sources declined to specify when exactly the missiles arrived or to provide an exact quantity, citing security concerns.
“The supplies, which were not publicly announced, occurred several weeks ago and were ordered after Kyiv ran out of long-range missiles,” they stated on the condition of anonymity.
As is known, the governments of the United Kingdom and France authorized Ukraine to use Storm Shadow/SCALP long-range missiles against targets within Russian territory.
Let us recall that the Ukrainian Defense Forces on Wednesday, November 20, struck Russian territory for the first time using British Storm Shadow cruise missiles. At that time, 500 North Korean soldiers, a Russian general, and several officers were killed in the Kursk region.
