In Sweden, a man was killed after publicly burning the Quran. Five suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Salwan Momika, known for his involvement in protests involving the burning of the Quran, has been killed in Sweden. This information was reported by SVT on January 30.

According to preliminary reports, he was shot on the balcony of an apartment. An ambulance and police arrived at the scene following reports of gunfire late in the evening.

"A 40-year-old man who had been shot was found in one of the apartments and was taken to the hospital," the Stockholm police press service reported to SVT.

Following the murder, five suspects were arrested, writes Expressen. The publication notes that a verdict was scheduled to be announced on January 30 in a case where Iranian native Momika and his partner Salvan Naj were accused of inciting racial hatred after burning the Quran.
