The military leadership has decided to establish an Air Defense Headquarters for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kyiv.
This was reported by Suspilne.
According to journalists, the agency was formed on Tuesday, November 19. The specifics of the decision, as well as the powers of the new body, have not yet been disclosed.
It is known that similar headquarters are planned to be established in two more regions – Kharkiv and Sumy.
Additionally, in the coming days, a new reform concept will be presented to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, under which the army will transition to a "corps-brigade" system.
Recall that on the night of November 21, Russia attacked Dnipro with a new medium-range missile, the “Oreshnik”. Following this, it became known that Ukraine and the United States are in negotiations regarding the supply of weapons capable of intercepting intercontinental ballistic missiles.
It is also known that the issue of strengthening the Ukrainian air defense system will be discussed at a joint meeting with NATO scheduled for November 26.
