Law enforcement officials have charged the driver involved in a fatal accident in Khmelnytskyi.
This information was reported by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General on Telegram.
They reported that a 27-year-old resident of Khmelnytskyi, driving a BMW X6, first collided with two vehicles and then crashed into a public transport stop. As a result of the accident, people lost their lives.
According to the expert examination, the driver was under the influence of alcohol and drugs at the time of the accident.
The man is suspected of violating road safety rules while intoxicated, leading to the deaths of several individuals (part 4 of article 286-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Currently, the issue of choosing a preventive measure for the suspect is being resolved.
Recall that the accident occurred this morning on Zarychanska Street. Three women (aged 60, 56, and 53) standing at the bus stop lost their lives as a result.
On November 4, in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv, a bus rammed several vehicles, veered onto the sidewalk, and crashed into a kiosk. A military serviceman was killed in the incident. The driver has been charged.
