In Georgia, the opposition is renouncing its parliamentary mandates in protest against election fraud.

Members of the Georgian political party coalition "Unity – National Movement" have renounced their parliamentary mandates in protest against election fraud. This was reported by one of the coalition leaders and head of the "National Movement," Tina Bokuchava, as noted by Sova.
В Грузии оппозиция не принимает мандаты в парламенте в знак протеста против нарушений на выборах.

A group of deputies intends to send a letter to the Georgian Central Election Commission, refusing registration.

"So that none of the candidates representing 'Unity – National Movement' is registered and so that the CEC does not even submit the issue of our powers to the Parliament of Georgia for consideration," Bokuchava stated.

In response, the Central Election Commission stated that the legislation does not allow for the cancellation of candidate registrations from party lists until their powers are announced.

"The parties involved in the electoral process are well aware that this is legally impossible; they have chosen to manipulate this issue and, in evaluating the elections, supposedly tried to increase pressure on the CEC," the commission believes.

Previously, the pre-election coalition 'For Change' also refused parliamentary mandates, writes Sova.

"We refuse to cooperate in any form with a regime that steals elections and represents the interests of the Russian Federation in our homeland," stated one of the coalition leaders, Nika Gvaramia.
