Russian forces have not been able to enter Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region. Information regarding the occupation of the locality of Ilyinka in the Donetsk region is also untrue.
This was stated in a message from the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Strategic Communications.
“Kupiansk is completely under the control of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. The locality of Ilyinka in the Donetsk region is also under Ukrainian control. Intense fighting with the enemy continues in its surroundings, but our units are firmly holding their positions,” the message reads.
Andriy Kovalev, a representative of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, informed Ukrinform that all enemy attacks in the Kupiansk direction have been successfully repelled: “The Russian invaders have not succeeded in entering Kupiansk. The city is under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”
He noted that following unsuccessful attacks that resulted in losses, the Russians did not attempt to repeat their assaults either in the afternoon of November 13 or in the morning of November 14.
It is worth reminding that last night, the analytical project DeepState reported that Russian troops had occupied Ilyinka and entered Kupiansk.
The military administration of Kupiansk stated that the Russian landing party, which broke through to the left bank of the city yesterday, has been eliminated.
Yesterday, on November 13, the General Staff reported that Russian military personnel attempted to break through the defenses in the Kupiansk direction while disguised in Ukrainian Armed Forces uniforms.
