Previously, the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, Rustem Umerov, contrary to the decision of the agency's supervisory board, refused to extend the contract with the head of the State Agency for the Management of the Exclusion Zone (SAEZ), Marina Bezrukova, and appointed a new leader. The SAEZ stated that they would continue to operate under Bezrukova's leadership.
"Ambassadors of the G7 countries in Ukraine recommend promptly resolving the situation within the SAEZ and focusing on the continuation of defense procurement. Adhering to the principles of proper governance and NATO recommendations is crucial for maintaining public and international partner trust," the statement said.
