ЦИК Беларуси утвердила победу Александра Лукашенко на так называемых президентских выборах.

The Central Election Commission of Belarus has officially confirmed Alexander Lukashenko's victory in the presidential "elections."

This decision was made during today’s meeting, according to "Zerkalo."

The CEC claims that Lukashenko received over 5 million votes (86.82%).

Other candidates received:

  • Sergey Syrankov — 3.21% (189,700 votes);
  • Oleg Haydukievich — 2.02% (119,300 votes);
  • Anna Kanopatskaya — 1.86% (109,800 votes);
  • Aleksandr Khizhnyak — 1.74% (102,800 votes).

3.60% of voters voted against all candidates.

Recall that Lukashenko was declared the winner the day after the "elections." The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine does not consider the presidential "elections" in the country legitimate.

Earlier, the European Parliament adopted a resolution calling on the EU and the international community not to recognize the results of the presidential "elections" in Belarus.

Lukashenko stated that he is "indifferent" to whether the West recognizes the results of his elections.
