Military personnel can now submit a request for changing their place of service through the "Army+" app starting today. To utilize this new feature, they need to update the app to version 2.0.2.
The Ministry of Defense assures that the process will take only about 15 minutes.
To process the request, a military ID or officer's certificate is required, along with a recommendation letter from the unit to which the serviceman intends to transfer.
Additionally, a conclusion from the Military Medical Commission may be necessary. For instance, if a serviceman is transferring from a combat unit to a rear unit due to health reasons.
"Approval from the commander is not required to submit a request in the Army+. That is, the serviceman does not need to provide the Army ID of the commander, as is necessary for other documents in the app. The transfer request will be automatically forwarded directly to the Personnel Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," explained Deputy Minister Yekaterina Chernogorenko.
The Personnel Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has 72 hours to review the request. As explained by the Ministry of Defense, in certain cases, it will directly contact the commanders of military units for approval, for example, for transfers between rear or combat brigades.
After 72 hours, the outcome will be communicated to the serviceman via "Army+". If approved, an order for the transfer will be prepared; if denied, clear reasons must be provided. All grounds for refusal are defined by the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution dated November 12, 2024, No. 1291.
Recall that at the end of October, five electronic requests were added to the app. The Ministry of Defense promised that new types of requests would now be added monthly.
On November 9, the "Reserve+" app introduced the ability to apply for a deferral from mobilization online. More than 100,000 reservists have already utilized this service.
