Tomorrow, November 18, Ukraine is set to reinstate power outage schedules. All regions will be compelled to implement energy consumption restrictions.
This information was reported by the press service of Ukrenergo.
“Tomorrow, November 18, measures to limit consumption will be enforced across all regions,” the company stated.
It is noted that from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, two rounds of outages will occur simultaneously.
The reason for the temporary return of restrictions is damage to energy facilities during a massive missile and drone attack.
“Energy workers are working to eliminate the aftermath of the accident, aiming to restore the equipment damaged by the enemy as soon as possible,” the statement reads.
Additionally, Ukrenergo urged not to use multiple high-power electrical devices at the same time.
As is known, due to today’s Russian attack, which harmed the country’s energy infrastructure, the electrical capacity at Ukrainian nuclear power plants has decreased.
It is worth noting that the day before, Russians again damaged the power supply line of the occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. The station was once again on the brink of blackout.
Reports also indicated that Ukraine might face power outages lasting up to 20 hours a day. Energy experts outlined the conditions under which such a scenario is possible.
