В Украину вернули тела 757 погибших военных, большинство из которых с Донецкого направления.

Ukraine has repatriated the bodies of 757 fallen soldiers from the front lines of Donetsk, Bakhmut, Ugledar, Zaporizhzhia, and Luhansk.

This was reported by the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War on Friday, January 24, via Telegram.

“As a result of the conducted repatriation activities, the bodies of 757 fallen defenders have been returned to Ukraine,” the statement said.

It was noted that among the returned bodies of defenders:

  • 451 from the Donetsk direction;
  • 71 from the Bakhmut direction;
  • 51 from the Ugledar direction;
  • 13 from the Luhansk direction;
  • 137 from the Zaporizhzhia direction;
  • 34 fallen soldiers returned from morgues in the territory of the Russian Federation.

The Coordination Headquarters particularly expressed gratitude for the assistance of the International Committee of the Red Cross.

“Investigators from law enforcement agencies, together with expert institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, will promptly establish the identities of the deceased,” the statement indicated.

Recall that the previous exchange of the bodies of fallen soldiers between Russia and Ukraine took place on December 20 of last year. Ukraine received the bodies of 503 fallen defenders. Additionally, 502 bodies of fallen Ukrainians were returned in November.
