For today's strike on Odessa, the Russians utilized a ballistic missile "Iskander-M". The projectile was intercepted by air defense forces, after which it fell on a residential area.
This was reported by the press service of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.
"Unfortunately, the downed enemy missile fell in the residential sector of the Primorsky district of the city, causing much grief. There are fatalities and injuries. We express our condolences to the families and loved ones," the statement said.
Additionally, shortly before the missile attack, an enemy UAV "Orlan-10" conducting aerial reconnaissance was shot down while approaching Odessa.
"The enemy is treacherous and ruthless... Odessa is constantly under the threat of the occupiers – terrorists deliberately strike with missiles of various types and attack drones at densely populated cities, knowing that there will be casualties among civilians," the Air Forces wrote, urging civilians not to ignore air raid alerts.
The head of the OVA, Oleg Kiper, reported an increase in the number of casualties resulting from the fall of the Russian missile. The death toll has risen to 10, including seven police officers, a medic, and two civilians.

According to data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the number of injured in the city has also increased – from 39 to 43 people. Additionally, two civilians were rescued.
It is worth noting that the strike on Odessa occurred today during the day. As a result, a multi-story residential building, a university, and an administrative building were damaged.
The president, Volodymyr Zelensky, has already responded to the strike. According to him, this attack demonstrates that Russia is solely interested in continuing the war.
