The number of casualties from the Russian strike in the center of Izium has increased again. Additionally, windows in 170 apartments have been damaged.
This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleg Synegubov.
According to him, as a result of the missile strike, presumably from an "Iskander," 55 people were injured. Among them are a 6-year-old boy, and girls aged 14 and 16. The 14-year-old girl is in serious condition, while the boy and the 16-year-old girl are in moderate condition.
A 44-year-old man, a 69-year-old man, two women, and another man have died—authorities are working to identify them.
"Most of the injured are employees of the tax service, the children's affairs service, the state enforcement service, a medical college, and other institutions," the head of the Regional State Administration wrote.
Furthermore, as a result of the shelling, 170 apartments have been damaged—windows have been shattered, the administrative building of the Izium City Council has been partially destroyed, and the administrative building along with the windows of three residential apartment buildings have been affected.
The search and rescue operation has been completed.
To remind, earlier today, Russian forces struck Izium. Initially, there were reports of 24 injured, which later increased to 38.
