The audience within the power transition process, which has already been covered by the media, took place in the Oval Office. Trump stated that the politicians "were very happy to see each other."
“You know, it has been a long, long road, a lot of work on both sides... We really had a very good meeting,” he told the newspaper.
According to Trump, the transition period, which began after his election victory, is also "going very smoothly," with the current administration and his team in "good relations." The president-elect added that he and Biden discussed two issues on which they had previously disagreed: Russia's war against Ukraine and the conflicts in the Middle East.
Trump also mentioned that he and Biden plan to meet again just before the inauguration, which the outgoing head of the White House promised to attend.
"The Oval Office is so beautiful, and I am certainly looking forward to [returning]," Trump concluded.
