It is noted that the American leader signed the official decree appointing Kellogg and subsequently announced "significant progress" regarding the issues "concerning Ukraine and Russia."

Separately, he expressed interest in acquiring Ukrainian rare earth resources in exchange for American assistance.

Additionally, according to media reports, Kellogg will soon travel to Ukraine to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Following his visit, Kellogg will head to Europe for negotiations and will then participate in the Munich Security Conference.

Notably, U.S. President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance are also expected to attend the Munich Security Conference.

As is known, Kellogg previously stated that Zelensky agreed to soften his negotiating position to achieve peace. The same should be done by Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

Recall that just before, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that his administration had already planned meetings and negotiations with Ukraine, Russia, and other parties regarding the war.

Trump had also mentioned earlier that his administration had already conducted "very serious" negotiations with Russia concerning the war in Ukraine, and that he and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin might soon take "significant" steps to end the conflict.

Kellogg indicated that the Trump administration hopes Ukraine will hold elections after reaching a ceasefire agreement. Zelensky's advisor, Dmytro Litvin, responded that if Kellogg's plan only involves a ceasefire and elections, “then it is a failed plan,” as “only these two things won’t intimidate Putin.”
