Trump and Modi had a phone conversation where they discussed the situation in Ukraine.

In their first phone conversation since Donald Trump took office, U.S. President Donald Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi discussed the "situation" in Ukraine and expressed their readiness to collaborate for peace. This was reported by the office of the Indian Prime Minister on January 27.
Трамп и Моди обсудили ситуацию в Украине во время телефонного разговора.

"Both leaders exchanged views on global issues, particularly the situations in the Middle East and Ukraine, and reaffirmed their commitment to work together to promote global peace, prosperity, and security," the statement said.

As noted by the Prime Minister's office, Modi congratulated Trump on his second term as the 47th President of the United States and discussed various aspects of the bilateral strategic partnership with the American leader, as well as measures for its development, particularly in the areas of technology, trade, investment, energy, and defense.

At the same time, the press release from the White House does not mention discussions regarding the war in Ukraine, instead highlighting the development of the strategic partnership between Washington and New Delhi and the increase in American arms and military equipment supplies to India.

"The President emphasized the importance of India's procurement of American equipment and achieving fair bilateral trade relations," the statement said.

The American side also informed that Trump and Modi discussed a range of regional issues, including security in the Indo-Pacific region, the Middle East, and Europe.
