Суд оставил под стражей военнослужащего 56 бригады Сергея Гнездилова. Его подозревают в дезертирстве.

The Kyiv Court of Appeals has kept serviceman Serhiy Hnizdilov in custody, who is accused of desertion.

Zelensky commented on the cases of SOCH in the armyUkrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his opinion regarding soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine leaving their military units.

The court rejected the appeal regarding the preventive measure for serviceman Serhiy Hnizdilov of the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of Mariupol, who publicly left his unit without permission. Consequently, he will remain in custody.

Earlier, the decision to impose a preventive measure in the form of detention was made by the court on October 11.

Recall that on October 9, GDBR investigators detained the serviceman on suspicion of leaving the military unit without authorization, committed with the intention of evading military service under martial law.

On October 10, Hnizdilov was notified of suspicion. His actions are classified as desertion (Part 4 of Article 408 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The penalty for this article provides for imprisonment of up to 12 years.

On September 21, Hnizdilov announced on his Facebook page that he had left his unit without permission to draw attention to the need for regulation of service terms for those mobilized.
