Law enforcement officials have initiated a criminal case regarding the shooting in the village of Shtastlyvoe, carried out by a representative of the TCC and SSP alert group.
This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kyiv region.
It was reported that the incident occurred during a document check by the alert group established by the TCC. During the check, a man in a vehicle refused to provide documents and attempted to flee.
“At that moment, a representative of the volunteer formation in the alert group independently decided to pursue him and fired two shots into the air. As a result of the incident, there were no injuries,” – the statement noted.
These actions have been classified under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, with the man facing up to seven years in prison.
It is worth noting that the incident took place on Friday, November 15. The Ministry of Defense has already started an investigation regarding this matter.
