"The President has made it clear that he wants to utilize all the funds allocated by Congress before his term ends. Therefore, we will work very hard to make this happen. You have seen how we are rolling out very large packages from the very beginning, and you have observed how we have been deploying a series of packages quite frequently, almost weekly," Singh said. "I expect that in the coming months you will see the continuation of package [armament] allocations from what we have in our stockpiles."
According to the Pentagon as of November 12, the U.S. had $9 billion remaining that the government can use to provide Ukraine with weapons, ammunition, and equipment.
Of this amount, $7.1 billion is available through the Presidential Drawdown Authority ($4.3 billion remains from the $61 billion package approved by Congress, and an additional $2.8 billion is available after recalculating accounting errors in the U.S. Department of Defense). Furthermore, approximately $2.2 billion in funding is still possible through the USAI program, which includes military orders for Ukraine from American manufacturers.
