The energy system of Ukraine remains intact despite regular attacks from the Russians. Tariffs will remain unchanged until the end of the heating season.

This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a government meeting on Friday, January 24.

“Ukraine has already crossed the midpoint of winter and the heating season. We are navigating it successfully. Despite constant attacks from Russia, our energy system remains intact and operates steadily. There are many challenges, and the situation can change rapidly. Therefore, we are working 24/7 to strengthen our energy sector,” he reported.

At the same time, Shmyhal assured that the tariffs for heat and electricity will remain unchanged for this heating season.

The Prime Minister added that the budget for 2025 allocates UAH 42.3 billion for the subsidy and benefits program, ensuring support for all needy Ukrainians.

It is worth noting that on December 13 of last year, the energy sector across Ukraine was subjected to a massive attack from Russia. There were also attacks on energy facilities in January. The Ministry of Energy called 2024 the most challenging year for the Ukrainian energy system.
