On the night of January 24, Russia experienced a record number of drone attacks since the beginning of the year. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that they "destroyed" more than 120 drones over 12 regions, including the occupied Crimea.
This information has been reported by Russian media and Telegram channels.

According to the Ministry of Defense, 37 drones were shot down over the Bryansk region, 20 over the Ryazan region, 17 each over the Kursk and Saratov regions, 7 over the Rostov region, 6 each over Moscow and Belgorod, 3 over Voronezh, 2 each over Tula, Oryol, and Lipetsk, one over Moscow, and another over occupied Crimea. Additionally, in the morning, local authorities in the Leningrad region reported two downed drones.
Due to the attack, ten airports suspended operations – including Moscow's Domodedovo, Vnukovo, and Zhukovsky, as well as those in Kazan, Nizhnekamsk, Penza, Samara, Saratov, Ufa, and Ulyanovsk.
It is known that in Ryazan, the Novo-Ryazanskaya TPP was hit, leading to a fire, as well as a plant belonging to the Ryazan Oil Refinery Company (part of Rosneft).
The Mayor of Moscow, Sergey Sobyanin, announced that a drone attack on the Russian capital was repelled: he stated that drones were shot down in Kolomna, Ramenskoye, Podolsk, and Shchyolkovo in the Moscow region, as well as in the Troitsky Administrative Okrug.
Telegram channels reported that drones also attempted to attack Saratov and Engels. Four explosions were heard in Engels, including near the local oil depot.
In the Voronezh region, according to the governor, windows in several apartments were damaged when debris from one of the drones fell on a residential building.
Additionally, debris from a downed drone damaged a power line in Kursk, leaving several streets in the city without electricity.
The head of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, Andrey Kovalenko, confirmed that strategic facilities, including oil refineries, were affected in Ryazan. He stated that the "Kremniy" plant was again attacked in Bryansk: it produces microelectronics for missile systems, the Pantsir air defense system, Iskander missiles, as well as for radars and electronic warfare systems, and Russian drones.
