On the night of January 23, Russia launched an attack on Ukraine with 92 strike drones. The attack on Zaporizhzhia was carried out with four Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles, which were fired from the Voronezh region.
This was reported by the Air Forces.
As of 9:30 AM, the destruction of 57 strike drones has been confirmed in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
Additionally, 27 Russian drones were lost to radar (without negative consequences). Three drones are still airborne – combat operations are ongoing, military officials stated.
It is worth noting that in Zaporizhzhia, a building of an industrial facility caught fire as a result of the missile attack, and multi-apartment buildings and vehicles were damaged by the shockwave and debris, leading to the destruction of a residential two-story building. There is information about one fatality and 26 injuries.
