The Executive Board of the World Food Programme UN has approved a new assistance program for Ukraine with a total budget of $2.1 billion.
This was announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on Telegram.
The program is set to run from 2025 to 2027. It includes provisions for humanitarian aid, support for the population, and the continuation of demining efforts.
Additionally, the funds will be directed towards enhancing Ukraine's export potential in agricultural products to global markets.
"We are grateful to our partners for their consistent support of Ukraine and Ukrainians during the full-scale war with Russia,” Shmyhal concluded.
It is worth noting that it was recently revealed that the European Commission approved the allocation of €4.1 billion to Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility assistance program.
Moreover, it was reported that Ukraine received $1.35 billion in grants from the USA. These funds will be allocated to priority programs.
