The government of Estonia has endorsed the proposal by Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur to send a new military aid package to Ukraine. This will include both equipment and ammunition.
This is mentioned on the website of the Estonian Ministry of Defense.
“This time, the aid package has been assembled from the reserves of our Defense Forces, taking into account the needs of Ukraine, while ensuring that Estonia’s defense capability is not compromised,” noted the defense minister.
The package will include:
- naval uniforms,
- observation devices,
- sights,
- ballistic protection equipment,
- various types of ammunition.
Pevkur mentioned that a competitive annual support program for Estonian companies will soon be launched, allowing Ukraine to receive assistance in producing products from the local defense industry.
Recall that on November 13, Ukraine and Norway signed an agreement to deepen cooperation in defense procurement.
It has also been reported that President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine has not received half of the weapons officially allocated by the United States.
