According to experts, Poroshenko has become the wealthiest parliament member in Europe, but he has registered his fortune under his son's name.

The leader of "European Solidarity," Petro Poroshenko, has amassed a fortune of $1.2 billion over the past year. However, he had to transfer his wealth to his son, Oleksii, to avoid being linked to enrichment during wartime, political expert Petro Oleshchuk stated on his Facebook page.
По словам эксперта, Порошенко стал самым состоятельным депутатом Европы, однако его активы зарегистрированы на имя сына.

"Over the past year, he has increased his wealth from $950 million to $1.2 billion. In a country heavily affected by war, Poroshenko earned 22% more than in 2023," noted Oleshchuk.

The expert emphasized that Poroshenko should take pride in such achievements, as at the beginning of the war, he was only 12th on the list of the richest Ukrainians, but during the war he became third.

"However, the MP was ashamed to record such records during the war in his name. Instead, he registered them under his eldest son Alexey. Why? Because there's nothing to take from Alexey: he fled the country at the beginning of the invasion; unlike his father, he does not collect donations from Ukrainians; he does not exploit the bloodshed for publicity nor dance on the graves of defenders. He simply enjoys life in London and Monaco," wrote the political scientist.

According to him, the practice of MPs transferring assets to their sons, wives, drivers, and mistresses has long been common within Poroshenko's faction in the Verkhovna Rada.

"After all, 'European Solidarity' is undoubtedly the richest faction among all European parliamentarians. Only one elected official, Petro Oleksiyovych, from poor Ukraine, earns clearly more than any European parliamentarians. Somewhere around these days, the oligarch-billionaire went to Europe to tell European diplomats how hard it is for him and his MPs during the war. He will meet with his sons in London as well, just in time for the Christmas holidays. And you, Ukrainians, keep fighting. And don’t forget to donate to the Petro Poroshenko Fund," Oleshchuk concluded.
