Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated on November 21 that the deployment of new air defense systems is "a projection of American power thousands of kilometers away from U.S. national territory" aimed at exerting pressure on Russia, according to the propaganda agency TAAS.
"Given the nature and level of threats posed by such Western military installations, the missile defense base in Poland has long been added to the list of priority targets for potential strikes," the official remarked.
In response, the spokesperson for the Polish Foreign Ministry asserted that the missile defense base in Redzikowo serves solely defensive purposes.
"It is intended to combat ballistic missiles, particularly from those countries that are considered rogue states. These are nations that base their policies on constantly threatening others, declaring intentions to invade, and believing that such political banditry is their way of conducting politics," Vroński emphasized.
