Orban threatens to veto EU sanctions against Russia again, issuing an ultimatum.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has threatened to veto sanctions against the aggressor country, Russia, in six months if Ukraine has not resumed the transit of Russian gas by that time. He made this statement during an interview with Hungarian radio station Kossuth on January 31, which was shared on his Facebook page. His remarks were reported by Maszol.
Орбан вновь угрожает наложить вето на санкции ЕС против России и выдвинул ультиматум.

According to the Prime Minister, Hungary reportedly received a guarantee from the EU this week for the restoration of transit through Ukraine. This is why his government has so far refrained from vetoing sanctions against Russia.

Orban threatened that if the promise is broken, his government will not only propose lifting the sanctions but will also go ahead and lift them.

He also added that "we will be considered fools," and in the end, it will be the Hungarians who continue to pay for the sanctions, as well as for "Ukrainian audacity."
