The Cabinet of Ministers has introduced the "Warm Winter" program, which allocates funds to certain categories of families with children.
This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on Telegram.
He explained that one-time financial assistance for children during the winter period will be provided to both low-income families and displaced families with children or adults with first-group disabilities.
Funds amounting to 6,500 hryvnias per child will be allocated in December. These funds can be used to purchase warm clothing, footwear, and other necessary items for winter.
Additionally, on St. Nicholas Day, all orphaned children and those raised in foster or guardian families will receive an extra one thousand hryvnias as a one-time payment.
“This initiative will be implemented as part of the Winter Support program. A huge thank you to UNICEF for providing the financial resources for this program,” added Shmyhal.
Recall that the government recently approved a presidential program that provides Ukrainians with 1,000 hryvnias. The Ministry of Economy has detailed everything you need to know about receiving the funds.
Earlier, the UN reported on how many Ukrainians have received humanitarian aid since the beginning of 2024.
