В Национальном бюро расследуют факты вероятного обогащения политика, подозреваемого в нападении на военного.

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau is investigating the potential illegal enrichment of people's deputy Mykola Tyshchenko amounting to over 30 million UAH and false declarations. The property was registered under the name of the former director of the restaurant "Velur," Serhiy Vakalchuk.

This information is stated in the decisions of the High Anti-Corruption Court and confirmed by sources from "Slovo i Delo" within law enforcement agencies.

It is noted that in April 2024, NABU began investigating a case that examines the facts of possible enrichment of deputy Tyshchenko totaling over 30 million UAH and false declarations. Specifically, detectives are looking into the circumstances surrounding the former director of the "Velur" restaurant, Vakalchuk, acquiring an apartment of approximately 100 sq. m in Kyiv, located in the building on Pavlo Skoropadskyi Street, 43, where the restaurant previously operated; two plots of land and a residential house of 322 sq. m in Kozyn near Kyiv, as well as a 2016 Mercedes-Benz V250 valued at 1.62 million UAH.

According to the detectives, Vakalchuk obtained property worth nearly 9 million UAH, but its market value is even higher. An analysis of his income revealed that he could not have legally acquired such assets. Additionally, journalists from Bihus.info noted that the property was used by deputy Tyshchenko and his wife.

Detectives gained temporary access to items seized by investigators from the State Bureau of Investigations during searches at Tyshchenko's and his wife's premises in relation to the case involving the assault on a military man in Dnipro. This includes mobile phones belonging to Tyshchenko, some of which he broke during the search; cash amounting to 491,550 dollars and 390,100 euros, as well as Audemars Piguet wristwatches. NABU requested a seizure of this property as it constitutes material evidence in the case. The court approved the seizure.

Recall that on June 25, the GDB notified Tyshchenko of suspicion under part 2 of Article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal deprivation of liberty or kidnapping). The case is linked to events in Dnipro on June 20, where a group of individuals allegedly attacked a former military personnel on the instruction of the deputy.

On the same day, the Pechersk District Court placed Tyshchenko under round-the-clock house arrest and later extended it.
