In Dnipropetrovsk, a draft dodger has been sentenced to prison. Here’s what we know about the case.

In Petrykivka, Dnipropetrovsk region, a man who evaded mobilization was sentenced to prison. He justified his actions by stating that he "never promised to defend Ukraine," as reported by "Vydomo" with reference to "Telekanal D1".

It is noted that after receiving a summons, the man refused to sign the acknowledgment of receipt and did not report to the military unit.

When he was located, he claimed as an excuse that he "never promised to defend Ukraine" and was unable to do so due to health reasons.

During the medical commission, no illnesses were found in the evader. However, he asserted that no one examined him and that the commission was merely "formal."

The court did not believe the suspect's justification and imposed a three-year prison sentence.
