The Ministry of Defense announced the dismissal of Bezrukova as the director of AOZ. She will be succeeded by Zhumadilov.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has dismissed Marina Bezrukova from her position as the Director of the Defense Procurement Agency. She will be replaced by Arsen Zhumadilov, who will take on the role in addition to his current position as the Director of the State Logistics Operator. This information was reported by the press service of the defense ministry on January 31.
Минобороны объявило об увольнении Безруковой с поста директора АОЗ. На ее место назначен Жумадилов.

"Among the key reasons for the leadership change at the State Agency for Strategic Industries is the failure to meet scheduled supplies for the front, numerous comments from the General Staff regarding poor planning of defense procurement, and untimely communication from the agency, as well as unjustified delays in delivery schedules. The numerous leaks of classified information are absolutely unacceptable and will be a separate subject of investigation by law enforcement agencies," the Ministry of Defense reported.

Additionally, the agency noted that the supervisory board's decision to extend the contract with Bezrukova "did not align with the principles of transparency and consistency and contained several procedural violations," and stated that the board's authority was invalid after one of its independent members left and state representatives were recalled.

"According to the law, in the case of the supervisory board's illegitimacy, its powers temporarily transfer to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. This grants the Ministry the right to make decisions regarding the management of the agency, specifically regarding the appointment, dismissal, and suspension of the director, as well as the appointment of an acting director," the statement reads.

It was also specified that "the Ministry of Defense has contacted law enforcement agencies to investigate and legally assess the actions of the former agency leadership."

In a Telegram post, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced that Jumadilov will perform the functions of the agency's head "from February 1 until a new director is appointed in the established manner," and announced a briefing on this matter.
