"It is certain that this year several airports will begin operations in Ukraine. There are technical and other capabilities for this. A political decision is needed. Apparently, it will be made," said the mayor of Lviv.
However, Sadovy did not specify which airports he was referring to.
He emphasized that "if a country is present on the aviation map, it is essentially present on the world map," and "this is a matter of national security."
As an example, Sadovy mentioned Israel, where a political decision was once made that during wartime, the Tel Aviv airport would begin operations.
"It was the only bridge connecting Tel Aviv to the world," the mayor of Lviv underscored.
