Researchers conducted a survey to gauge the level of trust Ukrainians have in their government regarding the fight against corruption. They also identified the main fears of Ukrainians and whether they believe the war will end by 2050.
The study was carried out by Gradus Research.
According to the survey, despite widespread optimism, only 43% of respondents expect a high level of trust in the government by 2050. At the same time, only 39% believe that Ukraine will be able to reduce corruption levels by 2050.
The survey also revealed that 85% of respondents believe the war will end by 2050, 75% expect access to fast and convenient government services, more than half (57%) believe that living conditions in Ukraine will improve, and 66% are confident that Ukraine will remain a democratic state.
Additionally, 72% of surveyed Ukrainians believe that by 2050, the country will attract foreign investments, which are seen as a crucial source for economic recovery and job creation.
Researchers identified the top 3 fears of Ukrainians. The most significant concern is the continuation of hostilities (26%), followed by uncertainty about the future (18%) and the threat of a demographic crisis (12%), along with an economic crisis.
The study also indicated that most Ukrainians plan their lives for short periods: from a few months to a year.
It is worth noting that according to a survey by the "Rating" sociological group, over 70% of Ukrainian respondents consider fighting corruption as the most important reform. This autumn, high-profile scandals in the media have been linked to corruption within the MSEC in many regions.
