The Kremlin responded to Trump's proposal to exchange aid for Ukraine's rare earth metals.

Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary for the illegitimate president of the aggressor nation Russia, Vladimir Putin, commented on U.S. President Donald Trump's proposal to assist Ukraine in exchange for its rare earth resources. Peskov stated that it would be better for Kyiv not to receive any aid at all, as this would contribute to the resolution of the "Ukrainian conflict." This information was revealed during a briefing on February 4, as reported by the Russian publication "Vedomosti."
Кремль ответил на идею Трампа о том, чтобы обменять помощь Украине на редкоземельные металлы.

Peskov referred to Trump's proposal as "the purchase of American support."

"If we are to call things by their proper names, this proposal is essentially about buying assistance. That is, rather than continuing to provide it on a gratuitous or other basis, it is specifically about ensuring it on a commercial basis," Peskov stated.

As the Russian propaganda news agency TAAS adds, Peskov also mentioned that the Kremlin has nothing new to add to its previous comments regarding the U.S. president's claims of "progress" in the negotiations to end Russia's war against Ukraine.
