Automatic traffic enforcement cameras detected more than 3.2 million traffic violations in the first nine months of this year. This is 1.7 times higher than the same period last year and a record since the cameras were installed in June 2020.

For comparison, during the same period last year, there were 2.6 million violations recorded, 2.1 million in 2022, and 2.6 million in 2021.
Almost all violations detected by the cameras were related to speeding, with only 1% concerning stopping or driving in bus lanes.
The highest number of violations in a month was recorded in September, totaling 520.2 thousand.
Currently, there are 308 cameras operating in 19 regions and in Kyiv. In the capital and its vicinity, 20% of all cameras are located—30 and 32 respectively. In Lviv region, 44 cameras are installed: 13 in Lviv and 31 in the region. Meanwhile, in regions close to the front line (Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions), the devices are not operational.
By comparison, before the full-scale war, 246 devices were used to monitor violations in 24 cities and 15 regions.
In addition to automatic enforcement, police issued over 2 million citations for traffic violations. Most frequently, drivers were fined in Lviv region, Kyiv, and Odesa region.
We remind you that this year in Ukraine, the number of traffic accidents with injuries has increased: from January to August, there were over 16 thousand accidents.
