According to him, such statements from parliamentarians are "at the very least, poorly thought out."
In response to a journalist's question about whether the dissolution of the TCK during wartime could be considered treason, he stated that it is "definitely the case."
"In the context of a full-scale invasion and the war that Ukraine is fighting against an aggressor state, reforming the TCK (there are issues that I do not deny) which ensures 95–98% of the mobilization activities necessary to replenish new reserves… To declare the need to dissolve the TCK during wartime and to replace it with any alternative forms of involving citizens in the Armed Forces of Ukraine – considering past practices, this is undoubtedly a move against Ukraine, against our independence and state sovereignty," said Venislavsky.
He also added that he supports the idea of recruitment. However, Ukraine will be able to implement it after the war ends, the parliamentarian noted.
"But as of today, despite the fact that we have allowed recruitment from the perspective of legislative initiatives and regulatory framework, it absolutely cannot replace all the mobilization activities that are currently being carried out by the TCK and SP," stated Venislavsky.
