France and the United Kingdom have granted Ukraine permission to strike deep into Russian territory using their SCALP and Storm Shadow missiles. This decision by the European countries followed the corresponding authorization from the USA.
This information was reported by the French publication Le Figaro.
It is noted that on the evening of Sunday, November 17, following the authorization from U.S. President Joe Biden's administration regarding long-range strikes on the Russian Federation, France and the United Kingdom also permitted Ukraine to use their weapons.
This means that now Ukrainian defenders can strike deep into Russian territory not only with ATACMS but also with SCALP and Storm Shadow missiles.
However, the publication does not provide further details about the authorization or its sources.
As a reminder, Biden first authorized Ukraine to use long-range ATACMS missiles against Russian territory today.
It is known that the United Kingdom was waiting for U.S. approval to also grant the Armed Forces of Ukraine permission to strike the Russian Federation.
Additionally, it was reported that Ukraine adjusted its list of Russian targets planned for attack with long-range weapons.
