In the night of Sunday, November 24, Ukrainian military units targeted the radar station of the S-400 surface-to-air missile system in the Kursk region.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“The missile forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, delivered a coordinated strike on the positions of the surface-to-air missile division of the 1490th anti-aircraft missile regiment of the 6th army of the Russian Federation in the Kursk region,” the report states.
According to the General Staff, a successful hit on the radar station of the S-400 surface-to-air missile system was recorded.
The specified military unit of the aggressor state was conducting combat operations in a “ground-to-ground” mode, targeting stationary ground objects.
“Such shelling primarily affects civilian objects and residents of settlements in frontline regions of Ukraine,” the General Staff noted.
It is worth mentioning that the governor of the Russian Kursk region, Alexey Smirnov, claimed that on the night of November 24, the region was allegedly attacked by two Ukrainian missiles and 27 drones.
Additionally, as a result of the Storm Shadow missile attack in the Kursk region, 500 North Korean soldiers, along with a Russian general and officers, were killed.
