Biden: Russia has failed in its attempt to erase Ukraine from the world map.

Despite the Holodomor orchestrated by the leadership of the Soviet Union, Ukraine persevered and established an independent state. This was stated by U.S. President Joe Biden on November 23, with his remarks published on the White House website.
Байден: Россия провалилась в попытке стереть Украину с мировой карты.

"91 years ago, Joseph Stalin and the Soviet regime instigated the Holodomor, a violent and deliberate famine that resulted in the deaths of millions of Ukrainians. [...] We honor the memory of those who survived the Holodomor and their descendants, who, despite Stalin's efforts to suppress Ukraine's national identity, built a free, independent, and democratic Ukraine," the statement reads.

The head of the White House reaffirmed the United States' commitment to "supporting the Ukrainian people in their difficult times."

"For nearly three years, Russia has waged a brutal war against the Ukrainian people, attempting to erase Ukraine from the world map. In these efforts, Russia has failed. Kyiv is free, partly thanks to the United States and over 50 other countries committed to providing Ukraine with the necessary assistance for its defense," Biden stated.

He emphasized that the U.S. honors the past of the Ukrainian people and supports them in the present.

"On this day, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting Ukraine's ongoing defense of its freedom, its pursuit of justice, and its path towards the Euro-Atlantic future it has chosen. The courage and strength of the Ukrainian people will prevail," Biden believes.
