The Anti-Corruption Council at the Ministry of Defense stated that the extension of Bezrukova's contract did not reflect an assessment of her performance.

The contract of Marina Bezrukova, the director of the Defense Procurement Agency (DPA), was supposed to be extended until the audit was completed. Claims about a one-year extension of the contract as an evaluation of the DPA's management effectiveness are inaccurate. This statement was made by the Public Anti-Corruption Council under the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (PAC MoD) on their Facebook page.
Антикоррупционный совет Минобороны заявил, что продление контракта Безруковой не свидетельствует о ее эффективности.

The statement mentions that before commenting on the current situation, members of the OAS MOUs communicated with all parties involved.

"We held discussions with the Minister of Defense, leaders of the State Logistics Operator (GOT) and the AOZ, individual members and the chair of the supervisory board of AOZ, as well as with specific representatives of the relevant committee in the Verkhovna Rada," the authors of the statement reported.

They noted that at the last meeting of the supervisory board, two decisions were made: to extend the contract with the head of AOZ for one year and to conduct an international audit of the agency.

"According to our information, there was an agreement that the AOZ director's contract would be reviewed (and could potentially be terminated) by the supervisory board immediately after the audit is completed, while in the meantime, the supervisory board will continue to delve into the affairs of AOZ. All publications that emphasized the 'extension of the contract for one year as an assessment of the effectiveness of AOZ leadership' were either a conscious or unconscious speculation and did not reflect the actual state of affairs," the OAS MOUs emphasized.
