The Ministry of Defense has simplified the reporting procedure for property for the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. All gear remains with them, except for helmets and bulletproof vests.
This was stated in a new order from the Ministry of Defense, as reported by the head of the department, Rustem Umerov, on October 30 via Telegram.
“We are taking another step towards simplifying property reporting for our military. From now on, only bulletproof vests and helmets need to be returned after service,” the message stated.
According to Umerov, soldiers of the Armed Forces should concentrate on combat tasks, and “we will always provide new gear.”
On his Facebook page, he clarified that servicemen will no longer need to report on their sleeping bags, mats, and canteens.
“Now only bulletproof vests and helmets need to be returned after service. Sleeping bags, mats, canteens, and other items will remain with the soldiers. They will no longer have to worry about returning them. These changes are being implemented by an order from the Ministry of Defense,” Umerov wrote.
Recall that on October 29, the Verkhovna Rada supported the extension of martial law and mobilization for another 90 days (until February 2025). The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council reported that a total of 1 million 50 thousand people have been drafted into the Defense Forces of Ukraine. An additional 160 thousand citizens are planned to be called up. This will allow military units to be staffed up to 85%, Litvinenko specified.
