Mohammad al-Bashir has been appointed as the Prime Minister of the transitional government of the new administration in Syria.

As stated by Mohammad al-Bashir himself, he has been appointed as the acting Prime Minister of the transitional government of Syria until March 1, 2025.

Previously, al-Bashir (since January 2024) led the rebel-led Salvation Government until he was overthrown by Bashar al-Assad's regime. Before that, he served as the Minister of Development and Humanitarian Affairs.

The new interim Prime Minister of Syria is tasked with forming a new leadership and ultimately conducting elections as part of the largest political reorganization in the country in the past 50 years.

It is worth noting that the U.S. is currently discussing the removal of the terrorist organization status for the Syrian group "Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham," which led to the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad's regime. Meanwhile, Ukraine has stated that it is ready to work on restoring relations with Syria in the future.
